Laura Harrington

Laura graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Therapy and Training from Dublin City University in 2012 and later obtained a first class Honours Master of Science in Physiotherapy. Since then, Laura has completed several post- graduate education courses in pilates, dry needling, biomechanical assessment and orthotic prescription.

Laura has worked extensively pursuing her passion as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist. Based in Cork, she is and has been for the past four years, lead physiotherapist with the Cork Senior Ladies Football Team. She has also worked with the Cork Senior Camogie Team and various other senior GAA and Rugby teams. With this, she has under taken further training in advanced traumatology and pitch side care as well as strength and conditioning. Her new focus now lies with sports injury prevention in the young female athlete and hopes to further her research over the coming months.

She continues to work as part of a multidisciplinary team here in the Clinic where she specializes in sports and spinal injury (including surgical!) and tends to have a multimodal approach to patient care, with a strong emphasis on patient education, functional rehabilitation and manual therapy.
